AEP Officials Report Electrical System Working Properly Ahead Of High Temps

(Columbus, OH) -- Officials with AEP say the electrical system in Central Ohio is now working properly.

In a statement released yesterday, the company said the grid is reliably providing power ahead of expected high temperatures this week. AEP says they can never guarantee there will be no outages, but that crews are ready to address any issues that may occur.

Service was intentionally shut off to thousands of Columbus area homes last week after storm damage created the potential for grid overloading, according to the company.
