City Council Passing Funding For Safety Efforts In Short North, Downtown

City-of-Columbus

(Columbus, OH) -- Columbus City Council is approving another round of funding for safety improvements.

Members voted in favor of a measure to spend half-a-million dollars for security enhancements in the Short North and Downtown. Short North Alliance Executive Director Betsy Pandora says a portion of the funding will support de-escalation and inclusion training for employees of arts district businesses.

The city is also installing surveillance cameras along High Street.
