Columbus Zoo Tiger Dies From COVID-19 Complications


(Columbus, OH) -- Workers at the Columbus Zoo are mourning the loss of a 14-year-old Amur Tiger. 

Officials say the cat, named Jupiter, died Sunday after developing pneumonia related to COVID-19. This is the first animal at the Columbus Zoo to die after contracting the virus.

Jupiter had been at the facility since 2015.
