Maren Morris Goes Mainstream

Maren Morris is saying goodbye to country music.  

The multi-ACM-and-CMA award winner revealed the decision on Friday to the "Los Angeles Times," saying she felt "very distanced" from the genre. She also released a two-song project, called 'The Bridge,' that she says, quote, "expresses a very righteously angry and liberating phase of my life." 

Morris is currently making the move from Columbia Nashville to Columbia Records.
