Morgan Wallen Takes Home Biggest Honor At PCCA


Morgan Wallen is the People's Artist of 2023. 

The "Everything I Love" singer took home the biggest honor at the first-ever People's Choice Country Awards in Nashville on Thursday night. He edged out fellow nominees Kane Brown, Kelsea Ballerini, Lainey Wilson, Luke Combs, Old Dominion, and Zach Bryan. 

Wallen also took home trophies for Album of 2023 for 'One Thing at a Time' and Concert Tour of 2023 for the One Night at a Time Tour.

Jelly Roll Wins Big At PCCA

Jelly Roll took home the most hardware following the awards show. The rapper-turned-country star won awards for Male Artist of 2023, New Artist of 2023, Song of 2023 for "Need a Favor," and Collaboration Song of 2023 for "Save Me," featuring Lainey Wilson.

Wynonna Judd Recognized With Champion Award

Wynonna Judd was honored for her longstanding commitment to music excellence and for helping others on their musical journeys. The star received the first-ever Country Champion award.

TK Receives Icon Award At PCCA

Toby Keith made his first televised appearance since revealing his cancer diagnosis last summer. He was awarded the first-ever Icon Award at the inaugural People's Choice Country Awards Thursday night in Nashville. Afterward, Keith moved the crowd to tears when he performed a song he wrote in 2018 called, "Don't Let the Old Man In." The star says he hopes to return to the road this fall, although dates have not been announced yet.
