Toby Keith Dead At 62


Country music star Toby Keith is dead. 

The singer-songwriter passed away Monday at the age of 62. Born in Oklahoma in 1961, Keith was diagnosed with stomach cancer in 2022. Some of his most popular songs include "As Good As I Once Was," "Red Solo Cup," and "Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue."

He won two Country Music Association awards and was nominated for five Grammys. Keith leaves behind a wife and three children.

Country Music Community Mourns Death Of Toby Keith

The country music community is reeling following the death of country music legend Toby Keith. Luke Combs, Carrie Underwood, Jelly Roll, Jason Aldean, Morgan Wallen, and Thomas Rhett are just a few of the artists who took to social media on Tuesday to honor Keith's legacy. 

He was lauded as a "trailblazer" who was "larger than life" and "always told it like it was." Granger Smith called him a "pillar in the country music community," and Travis Denning said TK could "write them just as good as anyone else."
